Implementing Directive No. 13/CT-TTg dated May 17, 2025 of the Prime Minister on strengthening the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the new situation; Official Dispatch No. 65/CD-TTg dated May 15, 2025 of the Prime Minister on launching a peak period to fight against and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights; Plan 07/KH-QLTT dated May 23, 2025 of the Market Management Department of Ninh Thuan province on implementing a peak period of monitoring, inspecting and handling acts of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights.

During the peak period of market inspection and control from May 15 to June 4, 2025, the Market Management Force (QLTT) of Ninh Thuan province coordinated with interdisciplinary forces to strengthen inspection, detect and handle many violations related to counterfeit goods, fake goods, and goods of unknown origin in the area. Specifically, in Tu Tam 1 village, Phuoc Hai commune, Ninh Phuoc district, Market Management Team No. 4 conducted a surprise inspection of an online business establishment via Zalo and Facebook channels called Shop D.M, owned by Ms. Ng.T.D.M. Through inspection, the authorities discovered that this establishment was selling 950 clothing products of all kinds without invoices, documents, and no information about the origin of the goods. All goods were recorded, sealed and temporarily detained for further investigation and handling in accordance with the provisions of law.

Then, on May 27, Market Management Team No. 1 suddenly inspected the business household N.N.L at the address Ngo Gia Tu Street, Kinh Dinh Ward, Phan Rang - Thap Cham City. Through the inspection, the authorities discovered 49 handbags bearing famous brands such as Chanel, Hermès, Burberry, Dior, Celine, BVLGARI... with signs of counterfeiting, with a total value of goods according to the listed price of nearly 90 million VND. The owner of the establishment could not present invoices and documents proving the legal origin. The shipment was temporarily detained for verification and handling. In summary, during the peak period, the provincial Market Management force inspected 19 cases, detected 07 violations, and imposed administrative penalties with a total amount of nearly 175 million VND paid to the State budget. In the coming time, the Department will continue to direct its Market Management Teams to strengthen market inspection and control, strictly handle acts of trading in counterfeit goods, fake goods, and goods of unknown origin, contributing to protecting consumer rights and ensuring a healthy business environment in the province.
